Worship at 9 & 11 AM

Our Sunday services give you two types of worship environments both centered around the rich tradition and liturgy of the Episcopal Church. The 9:00 am service is more traditional, with vested acolytes and the full liturgy common in most Episcopal Churches. The 11:00 am service is more contemporary, yet still incorporates the solid bones of Anglican liturgy.

You can expect to be greeted by a warm, friendly community in a casual environment.  We embrace diversity which is reflected in our membership. Dress is typically casual, the music is contemporary and led by a band at both services, and the preaching is broadly evangelical and centered on the Bible.

Whichever worship service you chose to attend, plan on joining us for a time of coffee and snacks between the two services!

Children’s Church, Nursery & Youth Ministry

We offer a Children's Church during the first half of the 9: am service for kids ages 3-11. We encourage children to join in the main service with the adults at our 11 am service. The 9 am children’s church program follows the same rhythms of the adult service, yet packaged for kids, using the “hearts alive” curriculum. Children sign into that program outside of our sanctuary directly before the adult service begins, and then are escorted in to join the adults for communion. We will launch a nursery program soon for children ages birth-2, but for now, plan on having the littlest ones with the grown ups for both services. Our foyer is setup as a cry room for little ones, and there is a speaker in the cry room so you don’t miss the sermon! If you have middle or high-school students, our youth group meets at 10:15 am during our coffee and fellowship time between services. Youth meet behind the chapel by the lake, under a small tent canopy.

Down the Dirt Road

One last thing…we’re hard to find!  When you enter Canterbury Retreat and Conference Center, follow the Incarnation signs to our Chapel.  It’s a beautiful chapel by the lake, down a dirt road all the way at the back of the large conference center property.  It will take you several minutes to get there once you enter the property, but eventually you’ll find us, and we know you’ll be glad you did!
